On October 30th, the PMed4HB consortium commemorated World Liver Cancer Day by welcoming a group of young students the IGTP team laboratory. They enjoyed a hands-on look at how research is carried out and learned about the importance of studying childhood liver cancer. Their curiosity and enthusiasm made the visit especially rewarding for our team.

As part of our outreach efforts, our PhD student Andrea Castaneda also took part in the European Researchers’ Night 2025. On October 16th, she delivered the talk “Hepatoblastoma: A Case in One Million” to students from the Vinyets Institute’s Laboratory Technician program. Andrea introduced hepatoblastoma as a case study for biomedical research, explained our work within PMed4HB, and highlighted the many career paths available in biomedical research.

Engaging with young people is essential to raising awareness, sharing our mission, and inspiring the next generation of scientists.
