Last Sunday, November 16, the the IGTP lteam of the PMed4HB consortium took part in the Cursa Dani 2025, a charity race organized by Conservas Dani and held in Premià de Mar.

The event, now established as an annual gathering with a charitable purpose, brought together 3,500 participants committed to sports, science, and health. This solidarity race was a clear example that every small contribution matters: with each registration, €2 were donated to childhood cancer research, reaching a total of €7,000. Our IGTP team ran the 5-kilometer course, reaffirming its commitment to social initiatives that, through activities like last Sunday’s event, support research such as ours.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Sanchez-Llibre family for deciding that this year’s charitable contribution from the Cursa Dani be dedicated to supporting the research on childhood liver cancer that we are carrying out in our laboratory. Taking part in this event was a unique opportunity to raise visibility for our research on a childhood disease that, although rare, can be very severe.

The funds raised will help finance massive sequencing studies of the most aggressive tumors to identify new therapies that can improve patient survival within the framework of projects PMed4HB, THRIVE, and CHILTERN, funded by AECC, HADEA, and FKC.
