On Wednesday, October 22, we held the third annual meeting of the PMed4HB coordinated project consortium, funded by the Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer (AECC). The project aims to advance toward personalized medicine in hepatoblastoma.

The meeting brought together principal investigators and representatives from the teams at the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP), Cima Universidad de Navarra, Universidad de Salamanca, Institut d’Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer (IDIBAPS), and CIC bioGUNE .

Thanks to this consortium, we are deepening our understanding of the most common liver cancer in childhood, hepatoblastoma, with the ultimate goal of improving the quality of life of children diagnosed with liver cancer.

During the meeting, each team presented the progress achieved in their respective tasks, and new avenues for collaboration and synergy were discussed in order to advance toward the shared objectives of the project.

It was a meeting marked by harmony, teamwork, and shared enthusiasm to continue driving research in childhood cancer, with the ultimate aim of translating results into clinical practice 💪🧬
