Today we held the 2nd Annual Meeting of the PMed4HB Project (www.pmed4hb.eu) funded by the Spanish Association Against Cancer, at the University of Salamanca. The principal investigators of the consortium: Dr. José J. G. Marín (University of Salamanca), Dr. Mariluz Martinez-Chantar (CIC bioGUNE), Dr. Pau Sancho-Bru from the August Pi i Sunyer Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBAPS), Dr. Matias Avila from CIMA University of Navarra, and Dr. Carolina Armengol, project coordinator from the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP), shared the latest advances in our project on precision medicine for hepatoblastoma. All of them are part of the Biomedical Research Networking Center (CIBER) group.

Specifically, we mainly discussed biomarkers, generation and characterization of models resistant to current treatments, organoids, and the identification of new therapeutic targets, with the ultimate goal of impacting clinical practice.

We are especially grateful to Dr. José J. G. Marín for organizing the event in such a beautiful city and to all the participants for their contributions. We also take this opportunity to once again thank the Spanish Association Against Cancer for its continuous support of our project, to the president Ángel Losada Vázquez and manager Roberto Marin Mena for their participation in our meeting. Together we continue making progress to improve the quality of life and survival of children with liver cancer!
