Once again, our PhD student, Álvaro, had the opportunity to present the work of our group, the Childhood Liver Oncology group, at the Congress organized by the Societat Catalana de Digestologia.

This year, we presented our advances in the evaluation of diagnostic biomarkers for pediatric liver cancer.

So far, there are no biochemical or molecular markers that allow differentiation between the three main tumor entities (HB, pHCC, and HCN-NOS), a fundamental step before assigning appropriate treatment. Our main objective is to identify these markers and work to translate them into clinical practice.
