Today, C. Armengol and Ronald de Krijger from Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) and Prinses Máxima Centrum voor kinderoncologie organized the SIOPEL Biology & Pathology working group within the SIOP Europe 2024 meeting in Milano. 

The session has been extremely useful for discussing how researchers and pathologists working on childhood liver cancer can be formally organized and identifying the main priorities. Among these priorities are integrative diagnosis, guideline definition, biomarker validation, and real-time support for diagnosis. These aspects will be the focus of our efforts in the coming years.
